Launched more than 4 years ago, Sweet Haven is a workforce development program that is a licensed cupcake bakery. The goal is to allow clients to gain kitchen experience and the skills necessary to gain employment. Once a client has successfully completed the program, they have an updated resume with references, kitchen experience, a Food Handler's Card, interview knowledge, basic employment skills, and hopefully a desire to work! The program currently runs about two weeks, as participants are expected to attend all of the employment/life skills classes, as well as put in the kitchen and baking time.
